About

Pat and Tom Doyle sell scones, bread, brownies, humus and sticky buns, as well as scone mix to bring home. Pat said that they had started by accident 16 years ago. She and Tom were in Block Island for the summers, and, one summer Pat gave a builder working on their house some French bread she had made. The builder suggested she sell it at the farmers’ market, and the rest is history.

Now they live on Block Island year round and sell up to 500 scones at each market, every week. “The farmers’ market is a social gathering as well as a market,” said Pat. “It’s a chance to meet up with friends.” Pat and Tom Doyle sell scones, bread, brownies, humus and sticky buns, as well as scone mix to bring home. Pat said that they had started Block Island Scone Mix by accident 16 years ago.
